How to access an external drive that's not recognized on a Mac

I'm worried that if the disks keep getting error messages the data will be compromised. I have this same problem on an iMac Pro. It is my main recording drive and will just stop recording to or error out on a file transfer. Please advise. I too have the same problem with a 3TB 3. I took the partition away do to problem but it still keep on ejecting.

Please advise! I see 3 post with this problem! New Macbook Pro Sadly after many weeks dealing with Glyph's support person, I have not been able to solve the problem. The support guy said the only time they have seen the problem was when there was corrupted data on the drive and to use Disk Warrior.

Over at the Apple forums they suggested that it could be a sleep issue. I wish Glyph would pay some attention to this problem as the constant false ejecting had hurt some of my data. I have been having a different but related problem: I have a 2tb atomraid.

If I do not eject it before shutting down, either the drive will not mount when it comes back up, OR I lose huge amounts of data. So far Disk Warrior has been able to recover the data, but of course, it's not in the right place. I have been given a replacement atomraid, but it's doing the same thing.
